Punk fashion is always hot among people and more and more people tend to choose this clothing fashion to express their unique personality. If you are who like alternative punk fashion or who wants to show your unique personality to the public, i think punk fashion style will be your first choice. In my opinions, punk also can be seen as a metal fashion. There is more and more metal elements been added to this alternative clothing fashion. For example, metal belt will be used to decorate Punk pants or dresses.
Some horror and monstrous patterens will be used in Punk clothes and accessories. You may see a big horrorible skull in a people’s t-shirt. Some strange patterns also will be used to the Punk clothing style. For example, you may see a big woman body on a man’s t-shirt and you will find it give you a strange sight feeling.
When you are choosing or designing your Punk clothing, just follow one rule: giving people who see them an astonishing feeling. You will be the most attractive alternative people if you choose the punk fashion style.

Standard Punk Fashion: Standard punk fashion is often associated with bands like the Ramones and the Clash. In general, these punks where leather and denim with combat boots. The standard punk may also sport spikes and chains to add to the edge. There is usually a strong emphasis on do-it-yourself modification to this style of clothing. Rips, tears, and self stitching are commonplace. Belts are often studded with metal pyramids. Leather and denim jackets often have patches to express bands or political views and may also feature spikes or studs.
Pop Punk Fashion: Pop punk, which is the most commercialized look, incorporates basic elements of punk and skater fashion. Band t-shirts with ties, scarves, blazers, with Dickies pants are commonplace. Plain canvas shoes or drainpipe pants may also be worn.
Glam Punk: Glam is one of the oldest and most transcendent of punk styles. This style is associated with groups of the early 1970's like the New York dolls and continued into the 80's with hair metal bands like Motley Crue. Glam punk is extremely androgynous with a great deal of makeup, hair dye, bright color and glitter. Unusual and campy costume is often worn by glam punk with a celebration of ironic value or bad taste.

Everyone in the word has their own special personality and all of us is unique in the word. If you want to show your unique personality to differentiate yourself from the others in the society and i think you can choose an alternative fashion style for yourself to represent unique you because clothing say who you are. Punk fashion will be choosed by most of the one who want to show their alternative personality. I have some personal ideas about this as the following and you can have a read:
Rebellion: Punk clothes have always been a way to say "I don't want to listen to your rules." This takes the form of spiked jackets and bracelets that say "keep your distancing". Leather in general portrays a rough demeanor that makes people at least acknowledge that you are different. Tough jackets, big belts (with even bigger belt buckles) and boots are all excellent outer layer choices. Spikes also mount best to leather so these all could have spiked varieties.
Recognition: One of the mainstays of the punk wardrobe is the concert T-shirt. Almost always black with a band logo or album cover, not only do these look cool but they give punks a good topic to talk about. You can represent for a band you love or for a band you just saw. Maybe you want to wear your old Misfits shirt because you want to talk with other people who like what you do. Maybe you just like skulls.
Individuality: Many punks dress tough to establish themselves as individuals. One of the best ways to do this is to make your own clothes, not necessarily from scratch but by modifying pieces you already own. Cut off the sleeves of T-shirts. Turn a jacket into a vest. Put patches all over your favorite jean jacket or even stencil a logo on the back of your leather jacket. You can tear your jeans, although naturally torn ones are far better. One of the fundamental ideals of true punks is not supporting big business. The more you can craft yourself, the cooler it is and the more recognition you will get for it.

If you want to be a Punk rock girl and you should know some information about this alternative clothing fashion. I will share some small tips on how to be a Punk rock girl and you can have a reference if you are interested in this fashion topic.
First, just be yourself. There are so many young kids out there today that just see a scene as a cool way to dress or to rebel against their parents. You don't have to dress, act or think a certain way to be Punk. That's the beauty of being punk. It's not about the superficial- it's a line of thinking, it's a way of life.
Second, just be open-minded. Don't be prejudiced. Open up your heart and mind to the things that are "outside your box." Experience new things and ideas. Punks usually stick together because they have been outcast in some way or another from "normal, cookie-cutter" society. Not all punks stick together just hang out with however you like you don't have to put a label to your friends. sometimes opposites attract. Don't close people out of your life for their views, politics, style, race, religion, sex, sexual preference or anything like that. Talk to different people, learn, debate. Expand yourself.
Tird, speak your mind. Protest the wrongs of your governments! Protest the media! Protest commercialism! Make a difference! Or conversely, be totally apathetic and nihilistic, and make fun of political types who think they can change anything. There're two sides of the coin on this one, as there are on most things within the punk community.

Clothing never defines a punk girl instead the style she represents is very important. Her style and how aesthetically she carried out the Victorian clothing matters. Steampunk clothing is all about expressing your individuality something which is our other normal outfits aim to provide but get failed most of time. However it is also a fact that many punk clothing are designed in provocative way that is why whenever you purchase a punk dress keep the designing of garment the occasion in which you are about to wear in mind.
One of the important aspects of punk style dresses is steampunk corsets. In punk fashion corsets are immensely popular as they help in accentuating body structure. The designs of corsets are inspired from Victorian corsets. Some corsets are exactly on line of Victorian styles but some designs are modified to meet the demand of prevailing sub culture. Not only in corsets but other clothing too have undergone changes but the theme remained same. Next on the line is skirt which is also influenced by Victorian theme but not necessarily same in line and length. Punk skirts are made in various designs and length. They can be in full length, mid, short or miniskirts in layers, plain, suede or in butterfly style but often long and flowing skirts are considered sensuous.
Steampunk dresses in full are available and that too in wide ranges for punk women like the tempest's dress and the bledlow dress. Despite being not so regular punk color dress these two are famous among women. Modern day punk dresses are much more colorful then traditional steampunk dresses.

If you are interested in Steam punk clothing fashion and i think you will be also interested in learning more about its culture. I will simply introduce its culture for you and you can have a read if you are interested in this topic.
What is Steam Punk? Most of the people will want to know its definition. Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction. Steampunk can be defined as an alternate history made possible by the inclusion of fantastic inventions created out of the Victorian culture. This is a study of the origins of Steampunk including the art, culture and fashion. Steam Punk takes elements from the Victorian or Edwardian time period and are combined with science fiction type inventions and machines that are built from the same elements.
About its history: Steampunk gained it's greatest importance during the 1980s and 1990s coexisting with the rise of Gothic and Punk culture. Sometimes these various cultures were, and still are, combined as a form of individualism that separates itself from mainstream culture. Almost all of the societal elements were formed well before Steampunk was defined but what is considered Steampunk culture is how these different Victorian era components are mixed with modern cultural influences.
About the Steam Punk fashion: People that adopt Steampunk fashion are not, normally, dressing the same as people did in the 19th century. It is is possible to do so and still be considered Steampunk since the fashion look is so dated. Victorian fashion is usually added to modern, outlandish, punk fashion for individual expression. There are people who have adopted Steampunk lifestyles, similar to the Gothic or Cyberpunk lifestyles, and define themselves by the fashion, art, and culture.
About the future of the Steam Punk: Modern society has evolved to the point of acceptance of various sub cultures. There is no reason that sub cultural societies will continue to exist and become integrated into what we will call "culture" in the future. Steampunk culture will coexist along with other sub cultures and whatever may be considered "normal" for the foreseeable future. Steampunk fashion, art, music, and inventions should evolve but will still retain the familiar attributes we call Steampunk.
